The Star Party organised by Astronomy Club Anjar At Vivekanand Highschool Ground Anjar.

Nearly 70 people remain present

Sky Observation continue from 8.30 to 11.00 pm

Mr. Niranjan Lodaya, Mr. Gadhavi etc took keen interest and wished to join local astronomy club (Anjar Astronomy Club)

100Hrs at Bhuj on 4th April

As we have decided to do star party at Air Force Station Bhuj But during star party we wanted to show International Space Satation to the Childern, But the sky condition was very bad for whole day. At night there were scatered clouds. It was not favorable for sky gazing. at 8.15 pm The ISS came all present children watched them through thin cloud layer. We pased this massage to all our club members by sms. they also see and the saw to other people also. Aproximatly more than 1000 people have watched ISS that day.

100hrs Astronomy at Surat By Prithvi Astronomy Club

Mr. Yogesh Chavda from Prithvi Astronomy Club Kadod(Bardoli) Organised 100Hrs Astronomy program very succsess fully.   it was a great evening where around 350 people took
 a good look at the moon and saturn from the 300x
magnification telescope brought by Yogeshbhai from Kadod
 village. This was an introductory star gazing program
 arranged by PRAYAS for members as well as common people.Mr. Fennil from Surat member of our club and Rakesh Gandhi were helping the hands

100hrs Astronomy 5th APril2009

The program was organised at Airforce station for celibrating 100 Hrs of Astronomy.

This day was the last day of the project.

Mr. Narendra Gor of KAAC talked the children about Astronomy Year 2009 the aims and Objectives.

Wing Commander Virendra Sing and Mrs. Boby Sing welcome the gests and tlked about the next Astronomy activities to be done in thier Station

The 1oohrs astronomy documentory film, film on ISS, Sunita Williams and Zathura was shown to children more than 300 children took part in this program.

On 3rd April the program was film show for the children and parents of Air force Camp at Bhuj

Children show film about the space Astronomy Documentary and last Zathura they enjoyed very much

Before film show Mr. Narendra Gor talked about the 100 Hours Astronomy Project and international Year of Astronomy 2009

The buttons were presented to Camp Officer & Wing Commander Ishwar Rao

After film show there was question and answer season

Questions were asked from both side about the film about the astronomy

all have decided to do more astronomy related activities.

Miss Rupali and Mr. Depesh from Children took keen interest and share their feelings with the children

Mr. Nishant, Chandani and Kartik Pomal were also present behalf of the Club KAAC

The Program for Sky Observation and presentation on our Universe was organised on 23 March 2009 In the Morning The students were undertsud the Universe Our Sky How our solar system came etc. The Q & A season was very interesting and children took part very keenly. At Night the present constellations and stars were understand by the Children. There were Two Telescopes by which Saturn was observed. The Students now wanted to form Astronomy Club in their Camus. Wimg Commander Virendra Sing (Chief Administrative Officer) Air force Station Bhuj give valuable support and invited KAAC for the sky show. From KAAC Mr. Narendra Gor, Rahul Zota & Ashvin Vaghela were present.

Sky observation Program at Lakadiya Ta Bhachau

LAkdiaya is the near to the entry in Kutch from Gujarat

on 13 March The sky Observation program was organised by Comunity Aid & Sponsorship Programme(CASP) Kutch Unit Mr. Bharatsinh D Jadeja took initiative and arrange the program for students of Lakdiya village. The principal of the High School Ramaben Vadi, Head Master of The Kumarshala, Kanyashala were also present there

From KAAC  Mr. Dinesh Panchal, Nishant Gor, Rahul Zota and Gunjan Doshi were present

Nearly 100 students and teachers saw Saturn through telescope, They also saw a day time star The Planet Vinus in the presence of Sun in Evening!!

The Lakadiya Astronomy Club was also formed

5.00pm welcome note, introduction and briefing about Messier marathon

6.00pm move to the location 

6.30pm Setting the Telescopes and selecting the site for observation

MARCH 2: Mars and Mercury are just 35’ apart. Very low in East at dawn. (6:30am)
MARCH 3: Moon 3 degree NE of Pleiades (M45)
MARCH 4: First Quarter Moon
MARCH 5: Comet Lulin (C/2007 N3) will be just 2 degree SE from open cluster M44 in Cancer. Nice opportunity for astrophotographers! The comet will be only 34’ EW of Delta Cancer star.
MARCH 6: Saturn will be just 38’ from 4th magnitude Sigma Leonis star.
MARCH 7: Jupiter is just 5’ from 4th magnitude Theta Capricorni star at 6:15am.

Beauty without Borders at Bhuj on National Science Day

The Program Beauty without Borders here in Bhuj went very nice

We put One Telescope and Two binoculars for the public

The place was middle of the city near Hamirsar Lake

Though city street lights were bright we show Moon Venus and also Lulin late

People were exited to watch the Vinus as it was looking like Moon!!!

Nearly 70 people were get chance to see through telescope first time in their life.

We tried to live web cast the event. We were successful for few minutes but after that the battery of laptop gone so we couldn't continue.

There were seven children who are just wondering like beger and not going to school any time also get the chance to see..... The photo is attached

Star Party On 28th February 2009 on Science Day

Kutch Amateur Astronomers Club Organising a Star Party On 28th February 2009 at 7pm onwards.  


The programme is a part of Global Star Party Campaign and will be celebrate by more than 14 countries of the world. The programme is a joint venture of Astronomers Without Borders and Side Walk Astronomy with the help of CIAA The event will be web casted. 

The number of participating countries has now risen to 14 and more
countries would be involved. List given below

New Zealand - Philippines - Indonesia - Sri Lanka - India - Pakistan -
Iraq - UAE - USA - Mexico - Nicaragua - Honduras - Brazil


The object is to observe the lunar-planetary conjunction of Moon and
Venus during the evening.

Astronomy for Peace program organised at SOS Children's village at Bhuj on penumbral Lunar Eclipse Observation Programm. 70 children took part in this programm they understand why eclipse occure. The Students of SOS Lahore(Pakistan) also join with the telephone and share their fealings! It was first programm in this region
